End of the World Train Tickets and Prices

An adult Tourist (Turista) ticket on the End of the World Train costs ARS 80,000 from October 2026 to March 2027, up from ARS 70,000 until the end of September. Premium costs ARS 250,000. On GetYourGuide the operator’s own ticket starts at $50, and every rider also pays the national park entry, ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors.

The table is labeled “Nacional/Internacional”, so nationality does not change the price. Only Argentine retirees, Tierra del Fuego residents and holders of the Argentine disability certificate get discounts, and residents apply through the railway’s benefits form. Residents also have a 2-for-1 promotion called “Fueguinos a Bordo”. The railway notes that fares may change without notice.
Every ticket covers the full round trip. There is no cheaper one-way fare, and getting off at the park station costs nothing extra.
What Premium and VIP add
Tourist class gives you a heated carriage, a comfortable seat, large windows and an audio guide in 10 languages. No food or drinks are included.
Premium adds priority boarding, heated premium carriages, souvenirs, a photo with costumed actors and a workshop visit when operations allow. It also includes a meal that depends on your departure:

Special diets are chosen when you select your meal. Children aged 0 to 3 who ride free do not receive the menu.
VIP puts you in the Presidential Car with a three-course tasting menu, an open bar, personal service and a guided visit to the railway workshops. It is arranged case by case by email, and no price is published. Charter trains for private groups are also available.
First class no longer appears on the railway’s site. Some older guides still list “Primera” or a Gala service, but the classes on sale in 2026 are Turista, Premium, VIP and Charter.

The park fee comes on top
The train fare never includes Tierra del Fuego National Park. Entry is required for every rider, even on a round trip where you never leave the train.

A second visit within 72 hours is half price, but in this park only for tickets bought online. Buy at ventaweb.apn.gob.ar, the national parks sales site the railway links to. The only option on this site that includes the park entry is the all-inclusive option of the Small-Group National Park Tour. With the railway, date changes need 24 hours’ notice. A change within the same season is free, while moving to another season means paying the fare difference at the box office. Requests go in writing to the railway’s commercial email. The policy does not say what happens if weather cancels a departure.
Most park tours on GetYourGuide also offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The Tourist or Premium tour (24913) is the exception, at 2 days.
How to buy
You can buy on the railway’s official website, at the station box office if seats are left, or through agencies and booking sites such as GetYourGuide. The railway accepts cash in ARS, BRL, USD or EUR, and Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Mercado Pago, PayPal and PIX. There is no ATM at the station.
Seats are not numbered. Passengers board in order of arrival and staff keep families together. Check in 45 minutes before your departure, which you can pick from the End of the World Train schedule.
December to February is the busiest stretch of the year, with most cruise calls. The railway advises buying online in advance, especially in high season.

How much is the End of the World Train?

Do foreigners pay more than Argentines?
Not for the train. The fare is the same for both. The park entry does differ: ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors against ARS 18,000 for Argentine residents.
Is first class still sold?
No. The railway sells Turista, Premium, VIP and Charter. First class and Gala no longer appear on its site.
Can I buy a one-way ticket?
No. Every ticket includes the round trip. Riding one way simply means getting off at the park station and not riding back.
Is Premium class good value?
Premium costs about three times the Turista fare and adds a meal, priority boarding and a workshop visit when operations allow. It makes most sense on the 12:00 or 15:00 departures, which include lunch.
Can I buy tickets at the station?
Yes, at the box office, subject to availability. In high season buying ahead is safer.
