End of the World Train Tickets and Prices
Every End of the World Train fare for 2026–27, Turista vs Premium, the ARS 40,000 park fee, which tour options include the ride, and how to book.
An adult Tourist (Turista) ticket on the End of the World Train costs ARS 80,000 from October 2026 to March 2027, up from ARS 70,000 until the end of September. Premium costs ARS 250,000. On GetYourGuide the operator’s own ticket starts at $50, and every rider also pays the national park entry, ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors.
The railway publishes its fares in Argentine pesos only, and foreign visitors pay the same fare as Argentines. The disability fare is half the Turista adult fare, which is how the railway words it in its own table. Every row is labeled “Nacional/Internacional”, so nationality does not change the price. Only Argentine retirees, Tierra del Fuego residents and holders of the Argentine disability certificate get discounts. Residents also have a 2-for-1 promotion called “Fueguinos a Bordo”. The railway notes that fares may change without notice.
Two conditions attach to the discounted fares, and both cost money if you get them wrong. A disability certificate holder or a Tierra del Fuego resident has to claim the benefit through the railway’s own benefits form rather than the general checkout — buy at full price online instead and no refund is given. Nor does the railway refund a ticket bought in the wrong fare category at all, whether that is a retiree, resident, certificate, child or infant rate.
Every ticket covers the full round trip. There is no cheaper one-way fare, and getting off at the park station costs nothing extra. You are also buying a time slot rather than a named train: within the 9:30, 12:00 or 15:00 band the railway can put you on any scheduled departure, and in busy bands it runs up to four trains at 15-minute intervals, with your seat confirmed at check-in.
What Premium and VIP add
Tourist class gives you a heated carriage, a comfortable seat, large windows and an audio guide in 10 languages. No food or drinks are included.
Premium adds priority boarding, heated premium carriages, souvenirs, a photo with costumed actors and a workshop visit when operations allow. It also includes a meal that depends on your departure:

Special diets are chosen when you select your meal. Children aged 0 to 3 who ride free do not receive the menu. On a Premium ticket the 45-minute check-in also protects the food: the railway warns that arriving later can limit the menu options available to you, because of preparation times.
VIP puts you in the historic Presidential Car, which has its own kitchen and toilet on board, with a ferromoza hosting the trip. It includes a three-course tasting menu, drinks throughout the journey, personal service and a guided visit to the railway workshops — guided and included, where Premium’s workshop visit is only a possibility. It is arranged case by case by email, and no price is published. Charter trains for private groups are also available.
First class no longer appears on the railway’s site. Some older guides still list “Primera” or a Gala service, but the classes on sale in 2026 are Turista, Premium, VIP and Charter. Whether the upgrade is worth about three times the fare is the subject of our Premium class guide.

Tour prices include pickup and a guide, so they are not directly comparable to the ticket alone. The tour comparison weighs them up, and our breakdowns cover the 788107 tour, the 24913 Premium option and the all-inclusive tour.
Read the option, not the tour title
The table above has two columns because on most of these tours the headline “from” price is the version without the train. The National Park & End of the World Train Tour says so in its own inclusions — “Train ride Ticket (if train option is selected)” — so two people on the same minibus can have different days, one riding the railway while the other carries on by road. A tour can name the train in its title and photographs and still sell a cheaper base option that leaves it out.
Four things vary between options that look alike:
- Whether the ticket is in your option at all. On 788107, 636491, 226381 and 660726 the ride is a paid option. The National Park, End of the World Train & Beagle Channel Day includes it in every booking.
- Return or one-way. The End of the World Train & National Park tour includes a one-way ticket and brings you back from the park by shared transfer. That is a different product from a return railway trip, even though both are “the train”.
- Which class. The same 24913 listing sells Tourist or Premium depending on the option, and a tour marketed as private or small-group tells you nothing about the carriage you sit in.
- The park entry. It is extra on almost everything. 848183 lists it as not included at ARS 40,000 per person, and the only option on this site that covers it is the all-inclusive option of the Small-Group National Park Tour.
Pickup, drop-off and how long the day runs
Pickup on these listings is from any address inside a highlighted zone, which you confirm at checkout — so whether you are collected depends on the zone your address falls in. The time comes later: 788107 and 1116165 both say they will tell you the day before, 636491’s operations center sends it then too, and 788107 asks for a WhatsApp number or an email address so it can reach you.
Drop-off is not always where you started. 788107 returns you to the pickup point, 660726 ends at Av. San Martín 775 in the city center, and 636491 ends on Comodoro Augusto Laserre.
The park-and-train tours here run 4.5 to 6 hours, and 8.5 hours for the version that adds a Beagle Channel cruise. On a cruise day, measure that against your ship’s all-aboard time, which is earlier than its published sailing time — the shore excursions page covers the port-day options.
Five questions before you pay
- Is the train ticket in the option you selected, or only in a dearer one?
- Is it a return ride, or a one-way with a road transfer back?
- Which class — Turista or Premium?
- Is the national park entry included? Assume not.
- Where does pickup start, and where does drop-off leave you?

The park fee comes on top
The train fare never includes Tierra del Fuego National Park. Entry is required for every rider, even on a round trip where you never leave the train.

A second visit within 72 hours is half price, but in this park only for tickets bought online. Buy at ventaweb.apn.gob.ar, the national parks sales site the railway links to. With the railway, date changes need 24 hours’ notice. A change within the same season is free, while moving to another season means paying the fare difference at the box office. Requests go in writing to the railway’s commercial email. The policy does not say what happens if weather cancels a departure.
Most park tours on GetYourGuide also offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The Tourist or Premium tour (24913) is the exception, at 2 days.
How to buy
You can buy on the railway’s official website, at the station box office if seats are left, or through agencies and booking sites such as GetYourGuide. The railway accepts cash in ARS, BRL, USD or EUR, and Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Mercado Pago, PayPal and PIX. There is no ATM at the station.
Seats are not numbered. Passengers board in order of arrival and staff keep families together. Check in 45 minutes before your departure, which you can pick from the End of the World Train schedule.
December to February is the busiest stretch of the year, with most cruise calls. The railway advises buying online in advance, especially in high season.
Booking ahead, or buying on the day
The railway publishes no lead time, only the advice to buy online in advance and especially in high season. The pressure is real enough: the 2026/27 cruise season runs from September 2026 to April 2027 with 572 scheduled ship movements and 72 vessels, and December, January and February hold about 62% of them between them. Third-party guides report peak slots going two to three weeks ahead and suggest booking four to six weeks out; the operator publishes nothing of the kind, so treat those as a direction and not a deadline.
Book ahead if you have one free day in Ushuaia, if you are arriving by ship, if you want a particular departure or Premium class, if you are traveling as a family or a group, or if you need an English-speaking guided excursion.
The station box office is a reasonable fallback if you are in town for several days, your timing is flexible, you can take whichever departure has seats, and you would still enjoy the park if the train turned out to be full. It sells subject to availability, and there is no ATM at the station.

Do foreigners pay more than Argentines?
Not for the train. The fare is the same for both. The park entry does differ: ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors against ARS 18,000 for Argentine residents.
Is first class still sold?

Can I buy a one-way ticket?
No. Every ticket includes the round trip. Riding one way simply means getting off at the park station and not riding back.
Is Premium class good value?
Premium costs about three times the Turista fare and adds a meal, priority boarding and a workshop visit when operations allow. It makes most sense on the 12:00 or 15:00 departures, which include lunch.
Can I buy tickets at the station?
Yes, at the box office, subject to availability. In high season buying ahead is safer.
Is the train included in Tierra del Fuego National Park tours?
Not always. On several of the best-reviewed park tours the ride is a paid option, and the headline “from” price is the version without it. One listing puts it plainly in its own inclusions: “Train ride Ticket (if train option is selected)”. Check the option you have selected, not the tour title.
Is hotel pickup included?
On the park tours, usually. These listings collect you from any address inside a highlighted zone, which you confirm at checkout, and they send the exact time the day before, well after you have paid. Drop-off is sometimes in the city center instead of back at your accommodation. A train-only ticket includes no transport at all.
How long does a park and train tour take?
Between 4.5 and 6 hours for the park-and-train tours on this site, and about 8.5 hours for the version that adds a Beagle Channel cruise. The train alone is about 1 hour 45 minutes plus the 45-minute check-in and the drive out.
