The headline price on most park tours is the tour without the train. The train is a separate option at checkout, and on some tours you buy the ticket yourself at the station.
The park entry is extra on every option here except the all-inclusive option of the Small-Group National Park Tour (our breakdown →). Foreign visitors pay ARS 40,000, and you need it even if you never leave the train.
Every ticket the railway sells is a round trip. Tours use it one way: you ride to the park station, and your guide and van meet you there. Travelers riding on their own can come back on the train, or in spring and summer take a later train if space allows.
December to February is the peak, with most cruise calls, and slots fill early. Most tours here offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before, so booking early costs little.
