End of the World Train & National Park, Tourist or Premium

About This Experience

After hotel pickup in Ushuaia, you board the End of the World Train at Estación Fin del Mundo. On board, a guide and the audio system tell the story of the prisoners who came to cut wood here, while the train passes the Río Pipo, La Macarena waterfall, the tree cemetery and the lenga forest.

Your guide meets the group at Estación Parque Nacional, the end of the line, and the tour continues by road. Stops include the Río Pipo, Mount Susana, Lake Acigami, the Alakush Visitor Center, Laguna Verde and Lapataia Bay, where the Pan-American Highway ends, with photo stops and a short walk when the weather allows. Fuegian red fox and birds such as the caranca goose can be seen along the way.

The tour returns to Ushuaia by shared transfer and drops you back at your hotel.

The train is included as a one-way ride, in Tourist or Premium class depending on the option you book. The ticket is subject to availability: if it sells out, the operator offers a full refund or a lower class with a partial refund. The national park entry fee (ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors since 1 June 2026) is not included.

Good to Know & Caveats

• Every visitor needs a Tierra del Fuego National Park ticket: ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors since 1 June 2026 (Argentine residents pay less, and children aged 0 to 6 enter free). It can be bought online in advance from the national parks service.
• The train ticket is subject to availability. If it cannot be confirmed, you are offered a full refund or a lower class with a partial refund.
• To confirm, the operator needs each passenger's full name, date of birth, ID or passport number, nationality, hotel and phone number, plus a passport photo for under-18s.
• Cancellation must be made at least 2 days in advance for a full refund, not 24 hours as on most tours here.
• The End of the World Train sells out in December to February, when most cruise ships call, so train seats for those months are best booked early.
• Weather changes fast in Ushuaia and snow is common from June to September; warm, waterproof layers are needed in every month.
