End of the World Train Tickets, Turista Class

About This Experience

This is the railway's own listing: a Turista-class ticket on the End of the World Train, the tourist line that follows part of the old prisoners' railway from Estación Fin del Mundo into Tierra del Fuego National Park. You make your own way to the station on Ruta Nacional 3, about 8 km west of central Ushuaia, and check in before your departure.

The ride runs through the Río Pipo valley in heated carriages with large windows, with an audio guide telling the story of the prison line in 10 languages. The train pauses for about 20 minutes at Estación La Macarena, where there is time to photograph the locomotive and walk to the waterfall and viewpoint, then continues to Estación Parque Nacional inside the park.

The operator gives the round trip as about 1 hour 45 minutes; GetYourGuide rounds it to 2 hours. Every ticket covers the full return journey, so you can ride back to the main station or stay in the park if you have your own onward transport.

The ticket covers the train only. The national park entry (ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors since 1 June 2026) is required for every rider, even if you never leave the train, and it is not part of this ticket. No hotel pickup is included.

Good to Know & Caveats

• Every visitor needs a Tierra del Fuego National Park ticket: ARS 40,000 for foreign visitors since 1 June 2026 (Argentine residents pay less, and children aged 0 to 6 enter free). It can be bought online in advance from the national parks service. You need it even for a round trip that never leaves the train.
• Check-in at the station is mandatory 45 minutes before departure.
• There is no space on board for luggage or strollers, and no toilets on the train (there are toilets at both stations).
• The End of the World Train sells out in December to February, when most cruise ships call, so train seats for those months are best booked early.
• The train runs every day of the year, including in snow; departures are cancelled only when extreme weather makes the trip unsafe.
