National Park Half Day with the End of the World Train

About This Experience

After pickup from your hotel in Ushuaia, the van follows Ruta Nacional 3 west toward Tierra del Fuego National Park, with views of the Beagle Channel on the way.

At Estación Fin del Mundo the group boards the End of the World Train and rides the last 7 km of the old prisoners' railway, through forest, peat bog and valleys, while the guide explains Ushuaia's past.

Back in the park, the tour continues to Lapataia Bay, where the Pan-American Highway ends, with time to walk the boardwalks before the drive back to Ushuaia.

• The End of the World Train sells out in December to February, when most cruise ships call, so train seats for those months are best booked early.
• Weather changes fast in Ushuaia and snow is common from June to September; warm, waterproof layers are needed in every month.
